A Conversation about College Readiness in the CSU

This first CSU Student Success Network Convening offered an opportunity to take part in a problem-centered, cross-campus, cross-role conversation about college readiness efforts, needs, and challenges throughout the system. The meeting was organized and sponsored by the CSU Student Success Network – a new, collaboratively developed structure designed to help support student success in the CSU.

Meeting goals:

Specific goals of the meeting include:

  • Share and learn about current student experiences in remedial (or developmental) courses for students from other CSU campuses.
  • Share and learn how other CSU campuses are navigating policies and procedures to best meet student needs.
  • Explore the applicability of promising approaches between campuses.

The CSU Student Success Network in the California State University kicked off its 2017 cross-campus Convenings by bringing together teams of faculty, staff, and administrators from six CSU campuses to share strategies related to college readiness.
